Welcome to our review of Webull, where we help you decide whether it’s the right investment platform for you.
Webull is a US-based online brokerage platform founded in 2017. It quickly became popular thanks to its commission-free trading and advanced tools, and its parent company, Webull Corporation, is listed on the NASDAQ (ticker: BULL). Webull says it serves more than 24 million registered users in 14 markets, but it is only available to residents of some countries.
It offers a user-friendly trading experience on desktop, web and mobile, a quick account opening process, and commission-free trading for US stocks, ETFs and stock and ETF options.
Besides stocks, ETFs and options, US clients can trade futures, US Treasuries, corporate bonds (0.10% transaction spread, minimum $10 per trade), crypto and event contracts. If you are looking for mutual funds, you will need to look elsewhere.
Concerned about safety? In the US, Webull Financial LLC is regulated by the SEC and the CFTC, is a member of FINRA, the NFA and SIPC, and Webull’s entities in other countries are supervised by their local regulators.
You can open a Webull account here! New US users who make their first deposit can get an APY Booster Card with extra interest on their cash. T&Cs apply. Capital at risk.
That’s Webull’s review in a nutshell. If you want to know more, keep on reading.
Overview
Webull has quickly gained recognition among investors thanks to its commission-free trading and comprehensive features. Its entities are supervised by the regulators of the markets where it operates, which include:
- United States,
- Hong Kong,
- Canada,
- Singapore,
- Japan,
- The UK,
- Netherlands (EU),
- Australia,
- Brazil,
- South Africa,
- Thailand,
- Indonesia,
- Malaysia,
- Mexico.
This review covers Webull’s US offering. Webull’s product range has grown a lot: US clients can now trade stocks, ETFs, options, futures, bonds, crypto and event contracts. However, it still doesn’t offer mutual funds or forex, and its international market access is much narrower than at brokers such as Interactive Brokers.
Webull’s strengths are its user-friendly interface, real-time market data and technical analysis tools. You can use its web, desktop or mobile platforms, all of which are intuitive and easy to use.
Besides commission-free trading, Webull offers a cash management feature that pays interest on uninvested cash. Webull advertised rates of up to 3.60% APY in September 2026, and rates can change at any time.

Webull doesn’t charge account opening or inactivity fees, but it does charge for wire transfers and for transferring your securities to another broker. ACH deposits and withdrawals are free.
Webull Premium is an optional subscription that gives you a higher interest rate on cash and reduced margin rates, among other benefits.
If you plan to trade on margin, check the margin rates first. They work on a tiered system, so the rate depends on the size of your loan.
Markets and products
Stocks and ETFs
US clients can trade stocks and ETFs listed on the NYSE, NASDAQ and NYSE American, including extended-hours and overnight trading on selected securities.
Webull’s ETF offering covers:
- Market indices: Dow Jones, S&P, NASDAQ, VIX, Russell 2000, FTSE
- Industries: Industrials, Healthcare, Financial Services, Utilities, Communication Services, Energy, Real Estate, Technology, Basic Materials, Consumer Cyclical, Consumer Defensive
- Commodities: focused and broad basket
- Bonds
- Currencies
Webull also offers fractional shares, so you can own part of a stock or ETF without buying a whole share, from as little as $5.
Securities trading is offered to self-directed customers by Webull Financial LLC, member SIPC, FINRA. Engaging in fractional share trading poses unique risks and limitations. All investments involve risk, including the possible loss of principal. You should consider your investment objectives carefully before investing. This is not a recommendation, investment advice, or a solicitation for the purchase or sale of a security. Additional info: webull.com/policy
Bonds
Webull added fixed income in stages. It launched US Treasury trading and fractional bonds in early 2025, and in October 2025 it added corporate bond trading for US clients on its mobile and desktop platforms.
Corporate bonds have a transaction spread of 0.10%, with a minimum of $10 per trade, which is low for retail access to this market. The range includes investment-grade and high-yield bonds issued in US dollars and rated by S&P.
In July 2026, Webull also launched Managed Bond Portfolios through Webull Advisors, with two strategies: Enhanced Cash, which invests in short-term Treasuries ($500 minimum, 0.15% annual fee), and High Income, which combines investment-grade and high-yield bonds ($2,000 minimum, 0.30% annual fee).
Read more in our article on Webull bonds.
Crypto
In September 2025, Webull brought its crypto business (Webull Pay) back into the group and started reintroducing crypto trading in the main Webull app. US clients can buy and sell a range of cryptocurrencies and manage them alongside their other investments.
Webull charges a 1% spread on crypto trades, which is higher than at crypto exchanges.
Please keep in mind that crypto assets are not protected by FDIC insurance or SIPC and are highly volatile.
Over-the-counter market (OTC)
Webull offers over-the-counter (OTC) trading, but OTC trading involves higher risks and may not be suitable for all investors. OTC securities can be less liquid, which increases price volatility and makes execution harder. This market includes common stocks, ADRs and other securities of companies that don’t meet exchange listing requirements or choose not to list.
The OTC market has three main tiers: OTCQX, OTCQB and OTC Pink. OTCQX has the highest standards, followed by OTCQB. Webull offers commission-free trading on OTC securities it supports, and the range includes ADRs of large foreign companies.
Options trading
Webull charges no commission and no contract fee on stock and ETF options, and no assignment or exercise fees. Index options cost $0.50 per contract, and orders above 500 contracts (except index options) pay $0.10 per contract. Regulatory fees apply to all option trades.
Webull offers strategies from single options to spreads, straddles and butterflies, with customisable option chains and real-time charts. You get one month of free real-time options quotes (OPRA) after approval, and they stay free as long as you trade options at least once a month.
Futures and event contracts
Webull Financial is registered with the CFTC as a futures commission merchant and is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA), so US clients can trade futures, including index futures, from the same platform.
Webull also offers event contracts (prediction markets), including crypto contracts through Kalshi. Event contract trading is highly speculative and may not be suitable for all investors.
Cash management
Webull’s cash management feature lets you earn interest on uninvested cash in individual and joint cash accounts. Your settled cash is spread across several FDIC-member banks, which gives FDIC insurance coverage of up to $5,000,000.
Webull advertised rates of up to 3.60% APY in September 2026, well above the national average savings rate of 0.42% to 0.47% that Webull cites, with no maintenance fees. The highest rate is linked to Webull Premium. Rates can change often, so check Webull’s website for the current rate.
There is no minimum deposit, and the feature is built into your brokerage account, so your cash is available to invest whenever you need it.
Webull Advisors
Webull also offers robo-advisory services through Webull Advisors LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser. It builds a portfolio based on your risk tolerance and goals, and you can preview it in your account or on Webull’s website.
Your portfolio is rebalanced to stay aligned with your goals and risk level. If you are unsure about your risk level, Webull provides a questionnaire that considers factors such as your income and age. You can fund your portfolio by ACH, wire transfer or cash in your brokerage account, and track its performance on Webull’s platforms.
Retirement accounts (IRAs)
Webull lets you open Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), a key part of retirement planning in the US. You can trade stocks, ETFs and options in them without commissions, while benefiting from their tax advantages.
Webull offers the Traditional IRA, where contributions may be tax-deductible and withdrawals in retirement are taxed as income. It suits people who expect a lower tax rate in the future.
The Roth IRA uses after-tax contributions, but qualified withdrawals in retirement are tax-free. It suits people who expect a higher tax rate in the future.
The Rollover IRA lets you move money from a 401(k) into an IRA when you change jobs or retire, keeping its tax benefits.
Trading platforms
Webull offers web, desktop and mobile trading platforms.
All of them are comprehensive and user-friendly, with a strong focus on beginners, while still offering advanced tools for active traders. The web version stands out against the competition.
The desktop application is similar to the web version but more customisable, while the mobile app is very complete, with a strong focus on user experience and on news and product categories that help you make decisions.
Order types
| Platform | Order types |
| Web | Market, Limit, Stop, Stop Limit, Trailing Stop |
| Desktop | Market, Limit, Stop, Stop Limit, Bracket |
| Mobile | Market, Limit, Stop, Stop Limit, Bracket |
You can also choose time-in-force options, including Day and Good ’til Cancelled (GTC), on all platforms.
Web trading platform
Webull’s web platform is one of the best on the market. When you open it, you see a watchlist and tabs with up-to-date news and data for each product, whether indices, ETFs or stocks.
The menu on the left includes Watchlist, Stocks, Markets, Screener, Trade, Account and Paper Trading. The Stocks section shows detailed information about each product, with a full chart with technical analysis tools and news at the bottom of the page.
The Markets section offers a wealth of global market data, including real-time forex and crypto data. Forex data is for information only, since Webull doesn’t offer forex trading.
In the Screener section, you can filter products by exchange, sector and financial indicators such as earnings per share (EPS), with details shown on the right side of the page.
The Paper Trading section lets you practise with virtual money in an environment that closely mirrors live trading (the Trade section). The Account section shows all the details of your brokerage account.
Desktop trading platform
The desktop platform is as complete as the web version, with a sleek design suitable for both beginners and experienced traders. You can switch between the web and desktop platforms without a new learning curve.
The main difference is that the desktop version offers more layout customisation, which is useful for strategies such as day trading or options trading. You can build a layout tailored to how you trade.
Mobile trading platform
Webull’s mobile app is well designed. When you open it, you see a Watchlist, as in the web and desktop versions, with more concise information because of the smaller screen. Tap any product to open a detailed chart, as in the image below.
The bottom bar gives you access to the main sections, including Markets and News. The Markets section lists different markets with stocks and ETFs grouped as “Top Gainers”, “Top Losers” and more. For the US market, the app compares different market segments, which gives you a useful overview.
Webull also has an IPO centre that lists filed and upcoming IPOs.
