Going on a holiday without the hassle of exchanging some of your money into local currency, especially without those massive exchange fees, looked like something that came from a futuristic dimension. Fortunately, Revolut came along in 2015, and the future suddenly became present.
In this post, we take a look at Revolut’s availability worldwide and uncover some of the alternatives for users who are not eligible to open a Revolut or Revolut Trading account!
What is Revolut?

Going on holiday to a different country and worrying about the huge exchange and ATM fees is no longer a problem!
The range of services has been increasing ever since the early days of the company. Initially, the British startup made its way into a fintech giant by implementing two features, which ultimately fueled the company´s growth in its earliest stages:
- Cutting fees associated with exchanging currencies from all around the world;
- Reducing fees associated with paying in a foreign currency.
Nowadays, it is much more than a simple bank that only saves money on fees when exchanging currencies or paying in a foreign currency. Some of its features include:
- Investing in stocks, cryptocurrencies and precious metals;
- Spending money worldwide with the Revolut debit card;
- Opening a Revolut Junior account for your kids;
- Opening a Revolut Business account;

- Creating budget plans along with spending dashboards;
