You’ve probably seen Pocket Broker advertising on YouTube or other social media and want to know if this is a safe platform, right?
Pocket Broker is a digital (binary) options and CFD broker that belongs to the same group as Pocket Option, a broker that we do not recommend.
Pocket Broker works in the same way as Pocket Option, with the same platform and the same offshore structure, but with a different branding.
In this article, we’ll tell you what we think about Pocket Broker and Pocket Option. Keep reading.
Is Pocket Broker safe?
We do not recommend Pocket Option, nor Pocket Broker.
You should not ignore several red flags we have detected during our due diligence.
Some warning signs:
- Pocket Broker regulatory environment: Pocket Broker presents FRONTIER MARKETS (PTY) LTD, a financial services provider licensed in South Africa by the FSCA, as its regulated entity. However, most clients are onboarded by offshore entities of the group (such as Infinite Trade LLC or Pocket Broker Ltd, registered in Costa Rica and Saint Lucia), and the group has no top-tier regulation from authorities like the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any EU regulator. The licence it claimed from the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA), an offshore registrar in the Comoros, was suspended in 2023.
- Regulators have warned against it: the UK’s FCA has published a warning about Pocket Option since September 2021 (last updated in February 2026), listing several domains operated by the group and stating that the firm is not authorised to offer financial services in the UK. In the US, Pocket Option is on the CFTC’s RED List of foreign entities soliciting US residents without registration, and in February 2026 Italy’s CONSOB ordered the blocking of Pocket Option’s websites.
- No investor protection: if Pocket Broker goes bankrupt or simply decides to close its business, you are not covered by any investor compensation scheme.
- No personnel is known: Pocket Broker has no public team, no LinkedIn presence, nothing. You do not know who is behind the platform.
- They use aggressive sales tactics to make people register: pop-ups with claims about how much money you can make, deposit bonuses with heavy turnover conditions before you can withdraw, lifestyle imagery on landing pages and other sales tactics. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
- The product itself is high risk: binary (fixed-time) options are all-or-nothing bets on short-term price moves. They are banned for retail clients in the EU and the UK precisely because most people lose money with them.
Their target is mainly emerging market countries like Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, Brazil and India.

Bottom line
There is some information you should verify before considering opening an account with any broker:
- Always double-check if the platform is regulated in major developed countries (US, UK and EU);
- Search on reputable regulators’ websites (FCA, SEC, ESMA, CONSOB and so on) to check if the platform is registered or, on the other hand, is on a warning list. Pocket Option is on several;
- If you feel a “salesy” approach, dig deeper;
- Do not trust all reviews you read online (check several sources), particularly if no negative points are mentioned.
